What do you do when someone steals the decretive modeling off the a door of your downtown Chicago store on Michigan Avenue? Who do you call?
Well, our customer called a local sheetmetal fabricator who does custom work in many areas and they knew of someone. They called NB&S and provided a sample section of the 2 different styles of molding that were stolen. NB&S reverse engineered the samples using their Faro CMM and produced digital model files of each piece. Sample pieces were machined from aluminum for the store owner to match against the existing door molding. They matched perfectly. NB&S purchased the same type of architectural brass and machined the replacement stock. The Michigan Avenue store owner installed the replacement pieces and except for the 50 plus years of environmental wear the doors look good as new.
